Delivery

Q. Where do you deliver to?

A. We deliver to the whole of the UK mainland. See our delivery information for more details.

Q. Is delivery free?

A. Delivery is free on orders over £500. For smaller orders, delivery costs start from £24.99 and are calculated at checkout. Samples are always free, with free delivery.

Q. How long does delivery usually take?

A. Delivery usually takes 5 to 7 working days from placing your order.

Q. Can I collect my order?

A. Yes. You can collect from our premises in Ashbourne. See our collection details.

Orders & Payment

Q. Do your prices include VAT?

A. Yes, all prices across the site include VAT at 20%. Your order confirmation and VAT receipt show the VAT separately, so trade customers who are VAT registered can reclaim it.

Q. What if I am not satisfied with my order?

A. All orders are quality inspected prior to dispatch. However, in the unlikely event that you are not happy with the order that arrives please contact us on 01335 342530 or use our contact form.

Q. How can I check on the progress of my order?

A. If you would like an update on the progress of your order please use our contact form and we'll get back to you as soon as possible.

Q. Which payment methods do you accept?

A. All major credit and debit cards are accepted (except Amex). We also accept Apple Pay, Google Pay, Amazon Pay and PayPal.

Trade

Q. Do you offer trade discounts?

A. We don't currently offer trade discounts. However, for very large orders please contact us and we may be able to help.

Q. Do you offer trade accounts?

A. Yes. Please contact us to set up a trade account. You can also create a personal or business account on our website for easy reordering.

Q. Can you send me a VAT receipt?

A. Yes, absolutely. We endeavour to send everyone in the trade a VAT receipt which will come directly from our accounting software, Xero. However, if you don't receive one please use our contact form and place your order number in the subject line.

Product & Technical

Q. Can I order a sample?

A. Yes. Go to whichever product you would like a sample of and select sample from the dropdown. Samples are free, with free delivery.

Q. Which skirting board height and profile should I choose?

A. Our skirting comes in 120 mm and 170 mm heights. 120 mm suits most modern homes with standard ceilings, and 170 mm suits taller ceilings and period homes. See our skirting board guide and architrave guide.

Q. How much skirting board or architrave do I need?

A. Use our quantity calculator. Enter your wall lengths or doorways and it works out how many lengths to order, including an allowance for cuts and waste.

Q. Can you match existing skirting?

A. Yes, we can. You will need to send us a sample of your current skirting board or architrave to Peak Premium Skirting and Timber Ltd, The Woodyard, Belle Vue Road, Ashbourne, DE6 1AT, and we will price these on an individual basis.

Q. Can I order a custom size or profile?

A. Yes. Choose the Custom option on the product page and tell us the height and length you need. We will call you to confirm we can cut it to your required profile.

Q. Is the Character (glacial) Oak available in other moulds?

A. Yes, as a special order. Please use our contact form with your request leaving a number if you'd like a call back to discuss. Please note we can do any mould, but the height will remain at 145mm if ordering skirting board.

Q. Can I have any of these moulds in another thickness?

A. Yes, in any of our timber apart from Glacial oak.

Q. Can I have any of these moulds in a greater depth?

A. In softwood we can do up to 218mm. Prime European oak is subject to our suppliers' availability. Please contact us with your request.

Q. What paint or finish should I use?

A. Our oak and pine can be painted, stained, oiled or varnished. We usually leave finishing to the experts, so we advise you to follow the finish manufacturer's guidance or ask a decorator.
